“Self-education will make you a fortune” ―Jim Rohn
Education cannot be confined to walls of school or the library, we learn from everything we observe and experience. The question to the answer if one can educate him or not is an absolute YES. Education doesn’t actually require a class-room, a teacher and a syllabus it only require keenness to learn and higher level of love for learning and exploring.
“A teacher can kindle your mind and let you memorize information, but true education is often self-education.” ―Debasish Mridha
Learn from Educated people
The no-cost source of getting self-educated is when you make some time to sit with elders who have seen and experience what you haven’t and what you might never will. “The secret of education lies in respecting the pupil. It is not for you to choose what he shall know, what he shall do. It is chosen and foreordained and he only holds the key to his own secret.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Make friends with Books
“All I have learned, I learned from books.” ― Abraham Lincoln
The most part of education is by reading with the goal of learning, the books can be the best companion and teacher when it comes to self-education. You learn from books what you will never be able to see in reallity. Buy or borrow a lot of books. Read books not only of the syllabus but all the books on general knowledge, social sciences and what ever you are curious about.
“Reading is the beginning of knowledge acquisition.” ― Lailah Gifty Akita
Curiousity is the key to self-education, the person who isn’t curious will not learn anything. “We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself.” ― Lloyd Alexander
Avail every chance to learn
Learning is not confined to time and events either, don’t make yourself bind to a ‘time’ when you can learn but seek knowledge any time and from anyone you can. “Learn everything you can, anytime you can, from anyone you can – there will always come a time when you will be grateful you did.” ― Sarah Caldwell
Out surroundings are teaching us all the time it is us who are not paying attention think of how Newton gravity known it is by curiosity and attention otherwise gravity always existed. “You learn something every day if you pay attention.” ― Ray LeBlond
Improve your skills
Being self-educated includes having great skills, i.e., communication skills, writing, speaking and for most important part skills to LISTEN. Improve your personality, you level of confidence, your moral and spiritual values plus your discipline or conduct of living. And never think that you have learned enough. “The wisest mind has something yet to learn.” ― George Santayana
“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.” ― Buddha
